For the Brides-to-Be

For those of you planning a wedding and who are interested in something a little more DIY and who may also want to go Green as much as you can... This is the place to help in your plan making. After planning my own wedding I want to share with you what I have learned. Others will be sharing their findings and ideas as well!

I wanted to have as a Green of a wedding as I possibly could and it was very important to me to have certain things handmade, by me, to make my wedding even more special and personalized. I want to share with you what I did to stay environmentally conscience and how I did my DIY. Every week there will be a new post on any number of themes, such as - Fashion, Creativity, Personality, Crafts, Handmade, and Being Green.

The first thing I want to share is the best book to achieving the ultimate DIY and Green wedding. The DIY Wedding; Celebrate Your Day Your Way It's not a book of rules, it's full of helpful tips and guidelines. It was a life safer for me and pointed me in the right direction. After I read it, I took what I felt best references what I wanted for my wedding and then ran with it. All that came next were making decisions. That's the best part. And also the most stressful.

REMEMBER - Be YOU in all you do. Don't make any rash decisions unless it feels right and if you do and you regret it later, just let it go and choose something else [I changed my mind about my wedding dress several times before I found the perfect one. Luckily it wasn't one of my larger purchases]. With the big things, like the venue and other things you pay large amounts for, take longer to decide. Don't rush yourself and just do what feels right. Really follow your heart on this one. That's the part that really matters. Take everyone's opinion with a grain of salt and only take from them what you want. Don't let them dictate what you should do because you are the star of the show and you deserve to have everything you want. And you really can have everything you want without having to spend thousands of dollars. And I want to help you do that through this blog!
