For all you locals out there or anyone visiting the Boise area, here's a list of the best thrift stores around that I personally enjoy visiting and where I find really good stuff for reasonable prices.

On Overland in Boise, in the shopping center w/ Albertson's & Honk's. My #1 pick! Best prices in town. Best clothing selection. Best vintage finds! And proceeds go to the care of homeless animals! They also have cats available for adoption! You get awesome things for a great price and you get to help animals at the same time! It's a win-win!

Favorite Locations: 10353 Fairview Avenue in Boise, by Saver's and 2804 E. Cleveland Blvd. in Caldwell. I have great success with both of these locations and they are fun to explore, particularly for small things. They have so many things for 75 cents that I tend to spend $10 just on those items alone! And their half off sticker days are awesome! Oh, and proceeds go to a really good cause. It's always nice to put money into something that helps the community instead of just feeding someone's pocketbook.

Located right next to The Youth Ranch on Fairview. This thrift store opened just recently and I was able to check it out over the weekend. I was impressed with what I saw so far. They seem to have good deals and they have a wide selection of just about everything. During my first visit I found a hand full of neat things, mostly stuff for Christmas, and the total came out to less than $5. They were quality things too and I am picky about quality. The proceeds go to Veterans. In a small way, when you shop here, you are giving back to people who have given so much.
I will be on the hunt for more great places to explore!
